How to Play

Here are some hints to help you develop your Kingdom efficiently. You have to make the right decisions in order become a strong leader, or maybe the strongest King of Medievalen!

LEFT MENU

First of all, in the left side of the screen, you see the Population / Free Citizens. Below, in Red and between parentheses, you see the limit of your Population. To change this limit, you have to build more Houses, in “Civil Buildings”. In the left side of the screen you can also see your 5 Resources: Food, Gold, Stone, Wood and Iron. You will use them to build your Kingdom.

UPPER MENU

Economy:
Here you choose how many people (free citizens) will work producing each one of your 5 Resources: Farm (to produce food), Gold Mine (to produce Gold), Quarry (to produce Stone), Lumber Mill (to produce Wood) and Iron Mine (to produce Iron). The more people working, the more you will produce!

Civil Buildings:
In the beginning, it’s very important to build Houses (so your Population can grow) and University (to make Researches). You can click on the image of each Building to see more information about it. When you build Farms, Gold Mine, Quarry, Lumber Mill or Iron Mine, you will be able to put more people to work producing your Resources.

Military Buildings:
Castle and Wall are important to defend your City from enemies’ attacks.
The Watchtower can protect you from spy eyes.
The Academy and the House of Weapons you will need to hire soldiers.

Researches:
The Researches are extremely important! In the beginning, it’s very important to research Medicine (this will make your population grow faster), Mining (this will make you produce more Stone, Iron and Gold), Agriculture (to produce more Food) and also Wood Extract (to produce more Wood).

Market:
In the market, you trade Food, Stone, Wood and Iron, using Gold. It’s very important when you need a specific resource immediately. When you build Market, you will be able to make more trades!

Army:
Here is where you hire your soldiers and build Siege Weapons. You can click on each unit to see its strengths. Some units have defense strength higher than attack strength, like Archers or Pikemen. Other units have attack strength higher than defense strength, like Axemen or the ‘Swordsman A’. There are also units that have the same attack and defense strengths, like Swordsmen.

ATTACKING AND DEFFENDING

The easier way to attack: go to the Ranking, select the Kingdom and press Attack. You cannot attack with less than 500 units. You cannot attack a Kingdom that has 220% more points than you or only 31% your points. Attacking someone with less points than you (and if he never attacked you) can be much more expensive!

There are two kinds of attacks you can do: pillage and conquer. The "conquer attack" you can do only if the Kingdom attacked has 3 or more cities. Each time you make a successful "conquer attack", you reduce the defenses of the city attacked. When the defenses of the city attacked fall to 10% or below, you conquer the city!

IMPORTANT:
A new city can only be attacked after 96h.
After being attacked, a city can only be attacked again after 1h (IMPORTANT: simultaneous attacks are allowed!).
After being conquered, a city can only be attacked again after 48h.

Ok, now you know what to do! Your people need you!
